簡介：　　英國ABC攝制的經(jīng)典間諜劇集The Avengers在整個60年代紅極一時，風靡英語世界，時至今日仍然吸引著世界各地無數(shù)的擁躉，成為和The Prisoner、Doctor Who等齊名的老牌英國Cult TV經(jīng)典，而國內也曾在80年代以《復仇天使》的譯名引進其中一小部分。The Avengers系列結束10年以后，劇集制作人Brian Clemens和Albert Fennell在70年代創(chuàng)作、拍攝了續(xù)集The New Avengers，同樣獲得相當大的成功，國內在80年代曾以《三個偵探》的不當譯名引進。　　The New Avengers沿用了The Avengers系列的男主角超級特工John Steed（Patrick Macnee），原系列中的美女搭檔換成了兩個年輕后輩Mike Gambit和Purdy。劇情配合冷戰(zhàn)背景，涉及間諜與反間諜、有組織犯罪、科幻等多種題材，很多創(chuàng)意在當時頗有前衛(wèi)性，因而在70年代重掀Avengers熱潮。電視攝像與制作技術在10年間的發(fā)展，使得The New Avengers比前作顯得更為專業(yè)。雖然和如今的好萊塢大片相比，The New Avengers在噱頭和視覺效果方面要相差很多，但是在70年代其地位還是相當高的，而在今天作為懷舊經(jīng)典仍然具有相當不錯的觀賞性和娛樂性。
